During WW II Chilton field was an airfield known as RAF Harwell.
At 5pm the bell ringers of All Saints' Chilton rang the bells for about
15 minutes participating the National bell ringing celebration when
we tried to ring all the bells in the country at 5pm, to give thanks for
the end of WW II and the peace we have had in this country
for the last 60 years.
